INTRODUCTION.

The history of the Scottish Knights of Christ is still being actively researched and revealed by our members, and many others who like us are also interested in this period of our Nation's History. This despite the many wild, false, and varied unproven claims, and self created fictional theories by various unchristian outsiders? These distortions still being put forward by so claimed learned Historians?

Recently revealed proven facts from official records have as usual exposed many of these theories, as being utterly biased, false, and totally misleading to all serious students of real Scottish History. We maintain our proven claim to be the last of the true Templars this based on proven historical facts.

The Primary, Secondary Sources of all historical facts on our Orders real History are freely available to all researchers. These from the National Library of Scotland, National Records Office, Mitchell Library, and Public Libraries, and varied public and private Archives within, and out with the Realm of Scotland.

Most of our history has come down to us from our many PRESENT and PAST members. The information is restricted to our own learned active members use only. 

What we know of the order in Scotland is jealously guarded because of its misuse in the past by writers of books supposedly tracing the origin and history of the Knights of the Temple.

However, since there is every likelihood that you like us have encountered some of what is purported to be a true history of the Templars, we would advise you to be wary of these fictional claims. The Scottish Knights of Christ is not the founder of masonic rituals, nor can the masonic templars trace their history back to the medieval order of which we are the true heirs in Scotland. Therefore it is our strict policy not to accept non-christians into our ranks. Nor are we a secret society with secrets who threaten the democratic process. 

Basically stated we are a Christian Non Masonic Chivalric Fraternal organisation. Having told you what we are, let us tell you what we are not.

1. The Order is not associated with Freemasons. we simply note for clarification that we are two totally separate and distinct organisations, each goes its own way.

2. The Order is not associated in any way with any of the groups self created from 1995 onwards who are not recognised by the churches of our Patriachs.

3. The Order is not a "Secret Society", nor a threat to the Democratic Process.

4. The Order does not require members to act in any way contary to their obligation to their Country.

5. All applicants must be practicing Christians. We do not accept applicants who are or were freemasons.

 

Nor do we accept any of the numerous unproven historical links to our Order by the varied historians, and on forged Masonic Charters in Grand Lodge either. We ask them where is their real Historical proof? It is a proven historical fact that the Scottish Order of the Temple did not die, after the death of Jacque de Molay in 1314. Our Christian lineage in Scotland has continued albeit in an altered form as Christians, within the Christian Churches. We have gradually evolved as Ecumenical Christians from 1128 through the 1560's, and into the present time.
